Chocolate factory "DE BEEMSTER" B.V. considers sustainability very important. That is why we are constantly looking at how we can make the process more sustainable, such as by reducing natural gas and purchasing solar panels. Attention is paid to minimal product and packaging waste during production. In addition, sustainability is also part of our quality system, so as a company we enforce our code of conduct and make agreements with our suppliers. Furthermore, sustainability is also part of our rating system when selecting suppliers.

We have included Rainforest Alliance Mass Balance and Fairtrade Mass Balance products in our range, which allow us as an SME to have more impact on people and the environment from the origin.

We also take good care of our employees. For example, we work in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement for confectionery and we steer towards continuous improvement of the health and safety policy in order to create an optimal and safe working environment.

All this together ensures a constant guarantee of a well-functioning sustainability system.
